Blogging about tagging: Steve Eisner
I recently discovered A Social Life, a most excellent blog that is focused, so far, on enterprise tagging (aka internal tagging / bookmarking…), a subject that is *very* close to my heart right now. Steve Eisner, the blog author is VP of Engineering at AskMe, and has posted a series of insightful thoughts about how tagging might actually work within an enterprise. One of the few times that I’ve printed out posts and written notes in the margins.
Cleaning up the Tag Soup and Our Experiences with Enterprise Tagging Terminology are recommended, but there’s good stuff in every post I’ve read so far.

Thanks! I've been subscribed to your blog for a while as well... and would of course be interested in reading your margin notes! ;)

Hi Steve.
Not sure if my margin notes will add anything to anyone's understanding just yet ! It's more to highlight some of the many interesting points from your posts.
But, as I solidify my thinking I will absolutely post some stuff, especially if I can release some stuff from a project I'm working on - helping a global company come up with a vision of the best possible intranet they could have, which we're basing on all the good stuff from social media - including tagging and folksonomies working alongside a more formal taxonomy.
